One of our key principles at Parihoa is encouraging everyone to slow down. While on the land, we promote a "no phones" policy and early bedtimes—well, maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration! We do allow tech in certain areas, but we also see your time at Parihoa as an opportunity to unplug. And yes, you can choose your own bedtime, but we’re big fans of early starts to catch the beautiful break of day on the farm.
One of the most important skills to develop in the modern age is the ability to focus on a single task, see it through to completion, and avoid becoming overstretched. When we destimulate our nervous systems, we no longer need constant accelerators to drive us at high speed.
The Parihoa type of wellbeing is learning to quieten ourselves by going back to retro habits. Reading a book, taking a hike, meditating, taking a cold plunge or resting in the sun. We believe the most powerful insights come from simply dialling it back a notch. That's the essence we aim to capture here, and we want you to experience this for yourself too.
The breathtaking beauty of the environment, the heavenly sunsets, the energy of the animals on the farm, the winds, the rain, and the changing seasons—all invoke transformation. They offer a chance to move closer to your Life 2, to who you truly want to be.
