The decision about what to name this global wellbeing collective was a long thought out one. And like any unique concept it zig zagged between iterations. Ultimately, Matt felt it was important to ground the idea with land and a place. No where better could that be than his home, Parihoa.
Under Matt's custodianship, Parihoa has become a place where thousands have connected. The beauty of the land consistently sparks an inflection point for people, influencing their lives and shaping their futures.
Over the years, Matt and his team have poured their energy into developing the structures and activities on the land, all aimed at promoting wellbeing. It felt natural to collapse all these learnings and insights, into the name of the wellbeing company and the network.
Matt wanted an ethereal concept to be able to anchor to a place. And that became Parihoa, a location also synonymous with the world class beauty of New Zealand.
