In developing his idea for the Network, Matt has carried forward learnings he got from ChapmanCG. The company built a network of over 150,000 HR leaders, and this gave Matt an acute sense of both the power of connection and the importance of wellbeing to help people perform to their potential, and live happy, fulfilled and meaningful lives as whole humans.
Since the Covid pandemic, the profound changes in how people work and the explosion of burnout, wellbeing has become ever more critical. The aim of the Parihoa Network is to bring together people from around the world who want to explore the role of wellbeing in their lives and what this means for them as people and as leaders, with a diverse range of expert coaches and thinkers from a wide range of wellbeing modalities.
Small groups of people, from Aotearoa New Zealand and around the world, will come together at Parihoa as part of a series of ‘in-residence’ programmes. Just as it has been for Matt and his friends, the aim is for visitors to experience Parihoa as a place of peace, reflection, regeneration and ultimately transformation. Through the types of people and wellbeing leaders Parihoa will attract, and the relationships it will foster, it will become a fertile environment for generating new ideas and developing new wellbeing concepts and innovation, with global applicability.
